Description
The joint commitment to explore opportunities to develop cooperation between the relevant institutions on both sides, to, inter alia, share information, best practices, including on countering the on-line threat of radicalization, and to engage in capacity building activities, such as training and workshops. They welcomed the resolve to deepen cooperation on domestic and international terrorist designation listing proposals through exchange of information.

Annual Counter Terrorism Political Dialogue between the EU and Indian Foreign Ministers. Through their Strategic Partnership, the EU and India aim at jointly promoting peace and security, and strengthening the rules-based global order.
Role of the EU
The European Union provides updates on recent developments in counter-terrorism policies both in Europe and in the EU’s external relations. The EU works to find ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, for example in the field of countering violent extremism and radicalisation and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats. Exchanges further touched on tackling terrorist use of the Internet and countering terrorism financing. Enhanced cooperative actions include enhanced engagement between Europol and India and continuing both EU and Indian support for the United Nations, the Global Counter Terrorism Forum and other multilateral fora.

"Discussions focussed on the terrorist threat in Europe, South Asia and the Middle East, with particular focus on the importance of continuing the progress made in defeating Da’esh, thereby strengthening EU external security concerns.
