Webinar on “The use of social networks for terrorist purposes”

On 17.02.2023, the EU funded NOTIONES and UNCOVER projects organized a joint webinar with the title “The use of social networks for terrorist purposes” to provide an overview of methods and practices, which are applied by law enforcement agencies across Europe to counteract the use of social media networks for the organisation and conduction of terrorists actions. The event aimed to also shed light on existing challenges and gaps and related innovation solutions in the field of steganalysis.

NOTIONES project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101021853. The vision of the NOTIONES network is to build and maintain a pan-European ecosystem of security and intelligence practitioners in order to (1) monitor technologic opportunities and advancements and best practices and (2) define and refine requirements and standardization needs.

The main objective of UNCOVER (this project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 101021687) is to develop innovations for detecting hidden information (steganalysis) and to increase the technological autonomy of Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in the field of digital media steganalysis.
